Center for Advanced Study in Education (CASE)
CASE – (Center for Advanced Studies and Education) Director Prof. Pierpaolo Limone
The Center leads the following strands of research:
Psychology and Digital Innovation (ref. Prof. A. Gennaro);
School Psychology ( ref. Prof. A.Rega);
Human-Technology Interaction (ref. Prof. S. Triberti).
The LAHTI – Laboratory for Advanced Human-Technology Interaction is located in Milan, at Viale Sarca 223. The laboratory's activities focus on advanced research, meaning they go beyond studying the functionality and usability of new technologies. Instead, they explore their effects on individuals, groups, and society, as well as the opportunities for leveraging innovations to promote health, education, and well-being.
Currently, the laboratory pursues four main research areas:
Immersive technologies (e.g., Virtual Reality) for promoting moral judgment and prosocial behavior
New technologies to support remote learning and meaningful experiences (including video games)
Study of identity and personality expression in digital contexts (avatars)
Analysis of effective interaction between human users and autonomous agents (Artificial Intelligence)

Center of Research in Digital Humanities
Established in 2023, the Research Center in Digital Humanities at Pegaso Online University is a strategic hub dedicated to exploring the intersection between humanistic knowledge and technological innovation.
With a strong interdisciplinary foundation, the Center aims to investigate how digital transformation—and in particular, artificial intelligence—is reshaping cultural production, education, and the ways we interact with knowledge.
The Center plays a pivotal role within the university’s research ecosystem, aligning with its strategic priorities: innovation, inclusion, sustainability, and digital competence. Closely connected with academic programs and a national doctoral program in Digital Humanities, the Center integrates senior researchers and PhD students in a collaborative environment.
Its mission is to promote high-impact, forward-looking research on the role of AI in creative industries, education, and wellbeing. Through partnerships, public engagement, and applied research, the Center contributes to redefining the future of the humanities in the digital age—advancing both academic excellence and societal innovation.
The Center of Research in Digital Humanities is coordinated by Alessandra Micalizzi, Associate Professor of Sociology, Communication and Culture and are part of the the team:
